MORE ABOUT DR. HAAC

Dr. Haac is dual board-certified in Colorectal Surgery and General Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Dr. Haac completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD, followed by a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Before relocating to Alaska, Dr. Haac practiced in Salt Lake City at Intermountain Health, where she served as the Surgical Director for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. During her tenure, she developed clinical pathways to enhance care for patients with pelvic floor disorders.

Committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, Dr. Haac partners closely with her patients to create personalized treatment plans that best meet their needs. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques and the improved recovery and outcomes they can offer.

Dr. Haac moved to Anchorage in 2025 with her husband and two children. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time outdoors exploring Alaska’s natural beauty with her family.​​
